Social Media Campaigns

Picture
Mark has used Social Media professionally since 2007. When he created his internet radio show, Sports Heaven with Mark and Evan, Mark immediately added the benefits of social media putting the show on both Facebook and Twitter.

He used those social media outlets in order to inform fans of upcoming shows and guests as well as to get feedback from listeners of the show. Twitter was also used to keep fans informed of NY sports news.

The show stopped airing in the summer of 2010 and the social media pages are no longer active, although they still exist.

In the summer of 2009, Mark received an internship with The Players' Point, a website in which former NHL, and MLB players blog about the current state of their former teams. Mark was asked to start up the website's social media campaign and established The Players' Point presence on both Facebook and Twitter. Mark would make posts once blogs went up on the website. It was also a way for the former players to stay in touch with their current fans.

Mark's experience got him hired as the web director and social media specialist for Penn State's ComRadio, the student-run radio station at Penn State. Mark has established a presence for ComRadio on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Mark single-handedly through social media, made ComRadio more well-known and has enabled current and former Penn State students to more easily remain connected to the University through ComRadio.
